High efficiency Organoclay Rheological Additive modified from Sodium bentonite clay powder.When Organophilic clay used in sealants and adhesives,modified bentonite can give suspension, thickening and thixotropy. Specially in the unsaturated resin and epoxy resin, organoclay is more suitable than aerosil. Much more cost-effective and can improve thixotropy.
CP-34 is an organo clay (modified bentonite), designed especially for use in solvent based system. It can be used widely in solvents from low polarity to medium-high polarity.

Modified Bentonite Storage
Modified Bentone CP-34Store in a dry, well-ventilated area with temperature of 0℃-30℃. Keep container closed. The quality guarantee period is 24 months.
Modified Bentonite Using
CP-34 disperses under high shear and requires a polar activator for best efficiency. Heat is not required to obtain good dispersion. Addition levels are typically in 0.2%~2.0%. Polar activator (95% Ethanol or 95% Methanol) is needed. Normally addition level of polar activator is recommended to be 40%~50% of CP-34 in weight. If in xylene system, addition level of polar activator is about 30%-40% of CP-34 in weight.
Pre-gel is made as below procedure.
1.Charge solvent to mill
2.Slowly add CP-34(6-10% by weight of total pregel) to mill under agitation.
3.Mix at high speed for 5 minutes.
4.Add polar activator.
5.Mix at high speed for 5 minutes.
Packing of Modified Bentonite:
The package: Kraft bag or kraft complex interior with PE or customized
Packing size: 25kg/bag ,50lb/bag, 600kg/bag or customized.
15MT/20FCL with pallet, 18MT/20FCL without pallet, 25.2MT/40FCL with pallet.
The delivery date is 7 to 10 days after receiving deposit.
